When I published Hans Duhan's Schöne Müllerin from 1928 in May 2012, I had the hope that I would soon get his Winterreise, too. It is rare in original form (on 12 shellacks), but it came out on a small private CD label in England some years ago, and someone should have it anywhere. It is a pity that this someone does not read my blog! The CD number is found in the Internet when you are searching for Duhan's Winterreise (Prestige Recordings HT S004), but the recordings cannot be traced anywhere. Or do you have more luck? In 2012 I still had the website adress (it was years since the site had been supplemented for the last time, and no one answered to my mail), but today I cannot even find this again. So the "Prestige Recordings HT S004" still stays a phantom, Some Japanese websites I have seen these days (without a chance to translate it) make it probable that there were official EMI CDs with all three cycles. And wandering through the Japanese characters and signs on the website with my mouse did not give me an "Open Sesame" download link. Maybe a Japanese reader can help?
Until someone comes along and offers me a copy of this, I decided to publish my fragment recordings of the Winterreise, and, because it makes sense, also my collected recordings from "Schwanengesang", the last Schubert cycle which was edited after Schubert's death. Duhan recorded this, too, and so became the first singer who ever recorded all the three great Schubert cycles - all in the year of Franz Schubert's 100th anniversary of his death.
While occupying with the Winterreise I found out that there are some discographical pecularities with is. Same as in the case of the Müllerin there were made (between April 27th, 1928 and May 4th) two takes of each song with Ferdinand Foll at the piano. In July 1928 six (or more?) songs were recorded again with Lene Orthmann (probably the wife or a relative of conductor Erich Orthmann?). Below you find a listing taken as an excerpt of CHARM. Why they were recorded again and if all recorded takes were published must be work for further observation. It could be, that under one title and one order number of a record you can find four different takes with two different pianists.

The date is given as it appears in CHARM. It means: day-month-year.
Now here is what I've got - four shellacs and two titles taken from EMI's 3-CD-compilation "Schubert Lieder on record"!
The dates for the latter two (Nos. 8 and 9) are taken from the EMI Booklet, where no take Nos. are given. They seem not to fit in the date schedule, but it could be possible that there were also some additional recorded takes on another date just as in the case with the Winterreise. So you have to decide on your own whether EMI is wrong or if they may have some secret sources which we do not have and know it better... In every case the dates for the Schwanengesang recordings are not unambigous and even CHARM gives different dates for the same recording.
rec. 2.V.1928 (CHARM also gives 1.X.1928)

ES 471 (Nos. 7 and 10) was not in a very good shape (typical HMV-pressing for that time...), but I have included it here. Maybe someone has a better copy...
